Ben Wells has been working in Romania for Nightingales Children's Project for the past 7 years. He has been given some land and a club house which is currently being converted into small self-contained units for those leaving the state orphanage system. These abandonned or orphaned teenagers will be offered free accommodation for a limited period. They will be taught life skills - shopping, paying bills etc - while they look for employment.
2 Wheel Appeal have said that they will try and raise the money needed for this 'half-way house' project. To that end, we're holding an AMAZING fundraiser on

The Centro Communitario Olga, Citade De Deus - Brazil
2 Wheel appeal helped build a community centre in the shanty town Citade De Deus ('City of God') outside Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Through the British Charity Action Aid.
The centre - Centro Communitario Olga, was built with the intention of keeping the disaffected youth off the streets, holding literacy and other classes. The centre also includes a local radio station.

This money is then distributed to causes which we support, especially to small charities who do not have the resources for advertising.
